Re: cl find

Re: cl find
sucks that it's an auto, but cool find.
any plans for it? |
Re: cl find
I checked KBB. At excellent condition the SS is $6800 private party. But does KBB really reflect the "value" of an SS Camaro?
johnny turbo that trick slut |
Re: cl find
They state that less then 5% of all used cars fall into the excellent category and I dont think a car with 109k miles is going to meet all the guidelines for excellent.

i just checked the private party cost of ss in excellent condition with 700k miles and it came back $6,475 i don't know anyone that would pay that much for a ss with 700,000 miles on it. i change the mileage to 100,000 miles and now it's worth $7400. no way in hell 600,000 miles is only gonna drop the price $1k don't use kbb if you want to know what your car is really worth. |
Re: cl find
It's easily a $9 or 10k car around here.
|
Re: cl find
togan is right, around 10k for that car is what you'd pay especially at a dealership
|
Re: cl find
What are your plans for the car?

maybe drive it for a while, maybe keep it for a while... maybe trade/sell it to buy a muscle car. i was really looking for a stingray corvette to buy, or a 1st gen camaro. there were a couple stingrays i found priced responsibly but this was too good of a deal for a 1996 |
Re: cl find
Get you a 63 split window with the 327 fuelie.
|
Re: cl find
anyone know any backdoor ways to clean the title on this bitch.
being totaled for having body damage sucks, any sneaky ways to get a clean title for it. legal ways? |
Re: cl find
i heard that once registered in a few states, the salvaged title disappears. not sure if its true....
|
Re: cl find
mine was totaled in another state, still on the title in this state...
|
Re: cl find
KBB is bullshit...
According to them my CRX is worth $1000-1300. I've had hillbillies off the street offer more than that when I wasn't even selling it. Cool Vette. I think they're the ugliest ones of all, but for that price I doubt I could say no. Can't you just find someone with a rebuilder license and get you a rebuilt title? |

Re: cl find
I race with a guy who has a bone stock Vette such as the one you now own. All he does is bolt on a set of slicks and it runs 13.60's at about 100mph.
Nice find. |
Re: cl find
---- yeah I had the same Vette just maroon in color. I bought mine for $800 off a mechanic where it had been left with no title and stripped interior. Fucker ran great though. I drove it like I stole it for about 2 months and finally liquified a piston doing a top speed run. It only got to 157 before it blew up. My DSM has gone faster than that rofl. I ended up driving it to a gravel pit on 7 cylinders and ripped it around until it was running on like 3, then ramped it off a huge cliff and got whiplash so I shot it to ---- with my Sabot filled Mossy and then torched the fucker haha. Huge cloud of black smoke that only left a hollowed out wreckage. I came back a week later and some huge front loader had shoved it deep into the side of the pit. I'd guess it's still part of the gravel pit lol.

Those engines are crap compare to any LSx engine, even a LS1 is way better, you shouldn't have sold your camaro. My ls1 with heads/cam is fun as ---- to drive even on stock gears,im gonna put some 3.90's and it'll be way faster, every .1 in gearing feels like 7.5hp so it should feel near 500hp. Fail johnny fail, LS1 for life. |

Fail johnny (coolest guy ever) (coolest guy ever) (coolest guy ever) (coolest guy ever) (coolest guy ever) (coolest guy ever) fail, LS1 for life. there are a lot of LT4 vettes that beat c5 ls1 vettes stock for stock the LT1 and LT4 motors are good motors, not as good as lsx motors but they are still good... except the ignition setup and 90s c4 vettes are expensive as hell. just check craigslist or any used car stealership. any corvette is expensive as hell. even a 220hp stingray ::) ps: he was talking about the ss camaro when he said 10k car |
Re: cl find
That's still a garbage boat anchor engine that sucks balls, headflows like a kidneystone going through widebodys urethra, fuel system is garbage, bottom end sucks ass. LsX engines are far superior, selling your camaro was the stupidest thing you've done.

Re: cl find
The C4 chassis is superior to an F-body with respect to laying down power.
In scottsi's performance range, pffft, a stock LT1 will hold enough spray to make that C4 come around his Camaro like it's sitting still. Edsel, you spray waht a 100-125 shot? ----, dude, one of my friends is running a 200 shot on a stock rod LS. UN-impressive. Johnny, if it's salvage title I think you overpaid. Yes there's a way to shuffle the title across a few states and clean it up, but it might never be clean in your state since they already have the VIN on file. It costs money. |

A 25 whp gain on a 2000 lb vehicle is worthless, and a 25 crank hp gain on a 3000 lb vehicle is even less impressive. Stop nit picking over how it's a fraction faster than pathetically slow and bolt a goddamn turbo to it like your Integra, or Mustang. Or better yet FINISH YOUR SWEET QUAD. |
