dull yellow and orange = almost always female, but some male cockatiels never fully color.

Re: check out my new birdy
Well you got one and I had to put mine down last night. She was fine one day and was on the play set we have for her and she got ahold of my wifes necklas "or how ever you spell it" and she got metal poisoned. Tried medication to make her poop. I found out cause the next morning she was on the bottom of the cage only able to move by flapping her wings. Took her to a bird specialist in Indy and one X-Ray later you could see the metal pellats in her stomache. Legs became fully non functional and well I had to snap her neck.
Had her for 9 years RIP Destin |
Re: check out my new birdy

Re: check out my new birdy
My Ex and I had one called it "Mo" lol cause it had an awesome Mohawk... it would kind of talk it wasn't clear speach atleast not yet but it was like a vocal pattern, love those birds think I'll get one of my own soon, great companions usually just happy sitting on your shoulder while you do whatever...however I think if you try to get it high you will kill it, take care of it, they are really cool birds!

Re: check out my new birdy
i once worked at a petco as a sales rep for a dog food company, and the employees there told me that those parrots that are like $900, sell for dirt cheap if they cuss or are racist.. cause they have to get rid of them immediately
|
Re: check out my new birdy
i used to work at petco too haha. they dont sell them cheap because of vocabulary they sell them cheap because of thier dispostion. if they dont like people and try to bite most people they have to find someone willing to deal with a bird like that. most of those types of birds get an attachment to 1 person and wont allow other people to touch it without attacking.
