Cell phone
Well as most of you know, I've started driving truck(from ontario, canada to Cali) so i want to get a cell through an american company since most of my time is spent in the states... What are the companies in the states. Keep in mind I am going to need a N. American long distance plan.

Re: Cell phone
Sprint has worked good for me. I live in WI and have traveled to MN and FL with it working the entire way. Also with Sprint, you don't have to pay extra for nationwide coverage. Anywhere they have service (Since you will be travelling on major highways/interstates) you just call like normal. Go to their website and take a look at their coverage map and see if it will cover your route.

Re: Cell phone
Verizon is the most reliable in America according to a recent consumer reports article. tmobile came in second but is one third the price. i dont think i would go tmobile tho because there is no analog fallback...with the rural highway, that is prolly something ull want

I'd go Verizon, i've never had an issue with them, and their customer service is great, or has been for me anyway. I had Nextel, but that ---- was way overpriced, both the service and the phones, and everytime i called customer service i was treated like ---- and they never fixed my problems.

Re: Cell phone
verizon's coverage is pretty good, pretty much the only place I don't get service is my schools autoshop (they installed signal blockers when they rebuilt the school). and there's a few spots where my phone is the only one with service out of my friends. very good coverage in washington
since it's temporary (?) i think you might be able to go with a pay-as-you-go phone, but I don't know what there long-distance charges are. tmobile has em, you can buy em at pretty much any big store. hell, we sell them at my work, a grocery store
