carb'd 13b project rx7 dead under water.......
im done with this damn thing. i want it gone. to hard to find parts for it and im tired of looking, every time i find something get money to get it its gone. i want my honda swapped and boosted anyways before years end. ---- it all. partout thread in fs section!!!

well building a v8 is so much easier and lots cheaper than building a honda with quality stuff. i would just get another v8 block and build it up. hit up craigslist for used performance ---- for cheap.

post up that you are looking for another motor on no pistons or rx7 club. someone might be willing to let a 12a go for cheap.

Yeah but then its not an upgrade. im not hating on the 12a, but its like our d15's. They are pretty much junk stock. And since its a rotary, you cant really do anything besides new apex seals and a street port. Might as well upgrade while he has the chance. Plus a v8 is way more powerfull and a much cooler swap for about the same amount of money. I think the 383 is a badass idea, thats what my friend uses in his imca dirt track car, and it hauls that heavy ass monte carlo around pretty swiftly so i can only imagine what it will do in a 7.

I am not going to argue a v8 in a RX7 wouldn't be bad ass, power to weight ratio yeah...but I have always been a believer that if you want a v8 in a car, get the car more fitting for a v8. A rx7 needs one thing under the hood....a rotary. Sell that chassis for like $500, then go buy a Camaro or a Rustang or something, call it a day.

I say just go with the SBC that you have built and throw it in. HMT is all about jsut doing what ya can with what ya have.

im sorry but i hate v8's in jap cars :3 :3 through a ca18det in it ;) its 1100 for a full swap dohc 180hp with a dinky t25 .. cast iron block and its lighter than a sr20 .. through on a holset with some mega squirt and have a fun litlle 400 hp 2000lb car ;) :y

keep the front cover. that way if you ever want to put a 13b in there, you wont need to fish around for one.

ok guys, now i have power and internet back after 3 1/2 days of not having it because of that ------- storm that rolled through here over the weekend. i tell ya one thing, it was like the global blackout for southeast michigan. just a big pain in the ass.
anyways, i did score a 87' 13b for 50 bucks thanks to the so kindly heart(but still a terrorist) buk. has good apex seals all around. my research starts tonight if i can get my lazy ass off my newly modded 360. as of now i have the complete cpu harness that runs into the car, the motor partailly disassembled for a 12a front cover and new oilpan gasket that i still need to purchase, and the actual ecu for the motor. buk just picked up the maf sensor for me from the car since we didnt have enough time to grab it monday. rotarygeek and kain are gonna be my best friends now for information besides rx7club.com. im hoping like hell i get this car back on the road by august for the dream cruise. lmk what you guys think. oh, and buk inst such an bothersome ------- that all claim he is, he's just a regular ol' ------ in Detroit. |

okay, kain and rotarygeek, does a carbed 13b sound good to you guys? If I'm right I should be able to use my 12a ignition setup which was a 2nd gen coil pack setup with leading ignition only. I'll have to make a custom intake for it, but I think that is what I want to do. You like or no?

carb;d 13b sounds sweet to me! you can find the racing beat carb set-ups cheap, if you look around.
