thats how it was when we first got there, we ran everything over, if they keep charging at us 100 rounds from the 50 cal. I was a gunner sometimes, that sound like a up-armored humvee turbocharge and tough. the tanks usually just crush one side of the car so they dont kill any one. if you are not aggressive they will block you in and ---- you up, we make enemies doing it but we save our lives.

You people should be thankfull you started all this with the US. It'd be alot worse if you all did this terrorism ---- to some other world power like China or the former Soviet Union they'd just wipe you all out. Then you wouldn't have to worry about getting your car bumped by a humvee.

Eh, there's a lot of diversity between Arabic peoples so I wouldn't lump him in with "them." While I don't agree with oss' statement I can respect where it's coming from. It's a Catch-22 mentality - you have to be hostile towards civilians to keep the civilians from being hostile towards you - and once in the middle most people (military or civilian) can't see it with any perspective. This is a forum that largely advocates killing car theives, or anyone who would ---- with their ride, yet they see nothing wrong with ramming other nationality's cars based on their less than white heritage. For some HMTers it is because they see the bigger picture (safety of our military boys and girls), but most of the people who think it's funny, or the Iraqi civilian's actions stupid, are racist.

Policing actions like Vietraq are dirty situations, and honestly solve nothing. Only one thing ever wins a war - steamrolling the civilian populace unil the rivers run red, and the government capitulates. Not surrender due to calculation or strategy or politics but because their basis (people) has collapsed. Well, we don't have that... what we have is a big fat waste of money and lives in order to become embroilled in a region that's been war torn for a few thousand years now. Logical? Not unless you own substantial stock in armament or petroleum interests.
