As stated it was a different company. That price was also MSRP. We did our shoping after my wife shelled out 350 for her new CD player from magnolia with there 3 year protection plan. I started surfing the internet and found 3 model upgrade for cheaper then she bought hers. It really never hurts to do the internet surfing unless your a impluse buyer. 
Most of the time i am but my CD still worked but just could not see any of the display.
