As stated it was a different company. That price was also MSRP. We did our shoping after my wife shelled out 350 for her new CD player from magnolia with there 3 year protection plan. I started surfing the internet and found 3 model upgrade for cheaper then she bought hers. It really never hurts to do the internet surfing unless your a impluse buyer. :6 Most of the time i am but my CD still worked but just could not see any of the display.

the ssauto of car audio (i dont know anything bout ssauto. but i assume u mean they suck) is cuspid. and pyramid sound. lol.

but mtx is some pretty high end ----. check out the mtx jackhammer O0

just find the exact head unit or anything else that you want and put the partnumber or description in froogle.com usualy gets somegood results. i got a 800 dollar citizen watch for 250.

Audiobahn is crap. I've seen MANY woofers that have blown leads right off the Voice Coils. And no, they were not being overpowered, only about 150w.

CRAP.

MTX = good. I got a 12" that lasted YEARS, before it was stolen. now, 4 speakers and a cd-player for me.

Word, couldnt have said that better myself. Audiobahn is all hype. Me, as far as subwoofers go, Ive been a huge fan of pioneer PREMIER for about 6 years now. Never broke any of them, and ive beat them pretty ------- hard.

I believe Crutchfield and retailers like Best Buy and Circuit City are only people allowed to sell MTX online.

i got two 10" blaupunkt subs for $40 from my boy, and a $50 450w Dual amp and couldnt be happier. accompanied by a JVC kameleon head unit, and some Sony Xplod speakers $70/pair from walmart. they're straight

mtx is ok ..
old stuff is great...

audio barnes amps are great ... SOME subs are good as well...

However the SCC of the audio world has to be pyrimd, and other none branded stuff.
