I know yours only has two plugs, they are the ones that light on fire, you want to swap it for a newer alt with the stud ;)

At the least fill the plug with dielectric grease, it will help the connection.

It is a terminal grease that promotes conections, stops arching, same ---- you put in the spark plug wire boots. Any auto part store has it. Its a silicone based grease works tits!

Im just saying it could have caused more harm than good. Thats why I always try to have a wrench or some cutting pliers with me to take off or cut the positive battery cable if needed :)
