not a cd key just the label that is on the win98 cd... so it'll reconmginize it as a cd that i can boot off..

why cant you just enter the setup for your computer and change the BIOS to boot off the CD?

Says who? I've got my Win98 SE CD here with just a random label of "Win98 SE" and it boots fine. The label isn't a prerequisite. Just make sure you have the "Microsoft Corporation.img" file burned correctly.

or do it old skool style with a floppy.

most cd burning programs have an option to make a cd "bootable". It has nothing to do with the label on the cd. The "bootable" option just loads some OS files onto the cd so that it can boot.
