Camaro Cowl hood poll
Im getting a cowl hood for the camaro, im trying to decide between a 4 inch or a 4 inch w/ centerline, im kinda leaning towards 4inch w/o centerline, heres pics to show

Body is stock so far, engine mods are as follows
Poly motormount/tranny mount SLP airLid K&n filter Pacesetter longtube headers/ uncatted Y pipe/straight pipe w/o muffler MSD wires and TR6(step colder) plugs 100shot wet kit Ram powergrip HD clutch (holds 650tq) 436hp/460tq on ONLY 100 shot Plans are Cam package to make 390-400hp 150shot to make 500-550hp/600tq Ford 9inch rear end with 4:10 gears 315 rear tires w/ drag radials Eibach drag launch springs Hopefully put it in the 125+ trap area and ATLEAST a low 11 or hopefully a high 10 sec 1/4 The car is on stock rims and suspension. I have a decent amount of power and have only lost 1 race with the bottle so I'm trying to make the car look better before i focus back to power. |

The best looking hood for the catfish body style IMO is the factory SS hood. It may not be functional, but at least it doesn't stick out like a turd in a puch bowl. Cowl hoods don't belong on 4th gens. IT looks fucknig retarded, unless you have a reason to need one.

agree with the above poster. just get an ss hood. cowl hoods do look too mullet/gay/uncalled for. i expect to see an ls1 with a cowl hood pulling the tires and going 8's. thats not you scott

SS hood is functional, but if i wanted a SS i woulda bought a SS. Turning a z28 into a SS is gay, like turning a wrx into a STI. Whats the point of making the lowermodel look like the higher model? I'd rather it be known that its 'only a z28' than 'its trying to be a SS'. I was set on the 4 inch, but now i think im going for the 2 inch.

SS hood looks meaner than cowl IMO.
I still say cam though, when the bitch is loping at the stop light it doesn't matter what hood is on it. the sound of cams make panties drop. |
