CAD Software
Any of you use CAD software?
I need to design some plastic crap. I don't need anything "fully featured," just something that will get the job done quickly in an easy-to-use and learn environment. Considered throwing this in the fabrication section, but it isn't related to cars at all, so ---- it. What software do you suggest? |
Re: CAD Software
i use autocad 08 for all my ----...
alot of people in my design class use sketch up (its free through Google) are you trying to do 3d or 2d? |
Re: CAD Software
you can download most cad software that is cheap and not very good. most of the good stuff you have to pay for like catia or unigraphics. it sounds simple enough what you need it for, just search for autocad. that is what most people are using for simple 2d stuff.

Re: CAD Software
I've played with the sketchup thing from google before. I'll check out autocad as well. It should be enough for what I need it for.

Re: CAD Software
Define "plastic ----"
I use unigraphics and solidworks for modeling, solidworks is a little more user friendly and easy to use but unigraphics is slightly more powerful when you learn it well. |
