I had one like that and I hammerd a nail in it and jammed so I could loosen it by turning the outer ring, I know you want to do it the cream puff way though :-*

the inside is like the nut/bolt and the outside spins free, you need to smash the nail between the two parts to lock them together as one. turn the outside and bingo god to go O0

Put the nail right in the very center or slightly offset?

put the slight bend on the end, you should be able to fell it when its pokeing in the grove betwwen the two pats and hammer that ---- home. post pics when done.
