Default built ls with t3/t4 now *updated w/PICS*

It's been a while (and i'll post pics soon).. my civic was off the road for 2.5 months because I spun all the bearings in it due to the stupid oil releif valve jamming. Anyways, here's the specs:

98 LS motor bored to 81.5mm
Probe Industries forged pistons 8.7:1 c/r
Eagle H beam rods
micro polished crank
new bearings all around
b16 oil pump
ls oil gear with gsr oil pan
stealthmode oil lines
t3/t04e turbo mated to a log manifold
tial 35mm wastegate
overblownms intercooler
2.5" charge pipes the whole way
2.5" down pipe
pro clutch stage 3 ceremic clutch
2.25" cat back exhaust with a 2.5" cat. converter
450cc dsm injectors
1st gen dsm bov
uberdata

I wish i knew how well this setup worked, I broke the motor in n/a, and put the turbo kit on it yesterday afternoon. I don't know why yet, but the stupid thing isn't building any boost at all and I can't hear the turbo spooling. When the turbo was off it spun freely. I haven't checked yet, but i'm hoping it's just a coupler that isn't on right.

I'll keep you updated and try to get some video going.

Well, I figured out why I'm not getting any boost. The nut holding the impeller came off somehow and went down in the turbo!!

Here you can see the fin that got bent from the nut... where the nut is, I have no idea. Couldn't find it in the charge pipes. Anyone know what size nut holds these on?? a 10mm wouldn't fit, it was larger than that.

I looked in the end tanks, it wasn't in there. And I just broke off part of the fin trying to straighten the bent fin out.. damnit.

did you ---- with the turbo when you got it? if not I'd get a return on it since whoever sent it to you is a moron for not tightening that nut.

I would guess the turbo has gay threads (counter-clockwise tightens) so finding a nut that fits is impossible.

If I remember right, it was. I'm so glad I sold mine before I used it.

haha, yeah thats the only reason I remember that was because you had one too Doc and Stan was asking a while back if they were any good. Ah well. I've been running a Shwitzer T3T4 hybrid for a while now with no problems. I have to admit though I liked my last T3 (.48/.60) better on my LS. Seemed to be a great street turbo.
