Things that I payed for in this motor
Block (posted) rods pistons completely rebuilt head y8 IM w/ls TB Fedural mogul Bearings new water pump, oil pump, gaskets, ect. Every last piece of machine work that you could do to this thing is done. All of it. When I sold the motor I didn't know what was wrong with it. I thought maybe the rings due to it running but having some smoke. What else would you guess from a motor that was running as normal as it ever did, but with some smoke? The pistons being the problem is much worse than me or Nathan thought would have been the problem, but that's what it was. Anything was possible here, and we both knew it. For the cost of the most expensive pistons you can buy for that motor, you still couldn't spend that much and have that motor. If it turned out to be just a headgasket I wouldn't be wanting any more money, and when it's the other way around it's the same thing. That's how it works. |

I want pictures of everything. When you take the head off, EVERYTHING. Do as I say, and nobody gets hurt. I still think about what the ---- it could have been. It's either gonna be something stupid (headgasket) or something major (half of a piston gone) lol... yeah obviously it'll be either something minor...or major...nothing inbetween.. lol what rings did you have before and how much were they? can i get .10 over rings at napa or ---- places like that? And the bearings are fine. ::) |
