I'm not about to take a motor apart when I'm packing up my house to move. Especially when I didn't even have a buyer.
I advertised the motor with the assumption that it was the rings, but maybe a rocket scientist would be able to tell you that if I didn't take the motor apart, I couldn't have known anything for sure. It could have been a number of things. I'm the furthest person you would ever meet from "shady". I already committed to helping Nathan with this even though this "shady" guy could have took the technical "as-is" route. You shouldn't give a ---- about my rep. It's not up to you to keep. |

i think you are doing more then you should but thats just me. i read the add and was about to get it but decided not to once i read the whole "smoked" part. maybe he should have took into consideation what it could have been to be making the engine smoke.

Stealth is taking this very well, if your not smart enough to check out a 17 psi mill that already has a problem that your unsure about, I dont think you can bitch. You rolled the dice and came up with ----. You cant go back on the lottery if your ticket dosen't win. I think it is very nice of steath to "work this out" I hope it works out for both off you ;)

sh*t like this happens now and then when buying ANY used parts.every month you see a topic like "bought used turbo,seller said it had small amount of shaft play but SHOULD tighten right up with oil in it.turbo is fuc*ed up completely though".Everyone blames both parties.thats just the way it works.let them work something out.

looks like they all melted at the exact same place, size are the same too..
which makes them the TRUE low compression piston. :P and if compression are the same across all 4, idle is un-effected. 8) seriously...i will TRY to reuse them on a low baller project. :D |

Well I have 2 major options 1) Flat rate the hell out of this motor and put it into my car. 2) Put a d15b2 into my car w/ mpfi and run that w/ a little gay ass turbo on it until i finish the d16y8 build If I go w/ option #1 I have a whole d15 setup that I can put into my car for almost nothing. My hp goals are none less than 300whp on this motor. I guess it is time to just put it on the ------- engine stand and rebuild it. |

I also emailed the guy from ebay. I think Nathan may be right about those srp's. Hotsex took his motor apart the other day and two of his did the same exact ----. He was running about the same boost and it was turboedit tuned pretty well from what he said.
