Re: Build Low budget Turbo Kit - without Ebay and ----. Possible?
why not use a precision sc turbo? theyre like 700-750 brand new and ball bearing.
just a thought. ive heard that those mtors are shitty in tegs cause they dont have te bottom ends that you want to move the car. any reason why you didnt use the b18 bottom end from the previous motor. not rippin or anything just wondering?

They're not ball bearing, the GT series are and they're all above $1000

Re: Build Low budget Turbo Kit - without Ebay and ----. Possible?
Hallo,
i don't know if you know it but we have another problem. I'am for example come from Europe so if i buy things for a turbokit here in USA we have to pay shipping, taxes and so on... so is you take all these together you have costs of aprox. 200-300$ just alone for shipping.
and what all your beautiful calculations ignore is my goal to bring all these together without trading, ebay, junkjard. i know that this is possible... and just because thats my goal i don't know why some ppl think they must blame me for this... sorry but thats kidding in my eyes.
i know how to build cars, and its not my first car so don't tell me i have to get some knowledge first.
the only thing i might not know until now are the cheap places to buy but thats the reason why i came here, in the hope someone can give me some advice...
@hotrex: thanks for the list... but in fact that some parts are used and traded this doesn't help me for my project.
but i have a question for the manifold... what material you use to make this manifold? i ask because when i buy only the raw material here in Europe and calculate the gas costs for welding i come way over 70$ for a ramhorn design.
its truely impossible only if i take cheapest stainless possible but then i'am afraid that it will break and even with this material i would surely come over 70$ - maybe my problem is that many raw material is more expensive where i live...
because things like CP, DP, Manifold, oil lines, are allready made by ourselfs... so only expensive things are only turbo, intercooler, and spareparts for the engine...
Thank you very much for your help so far... find some nice shops with nice prices...
Malte.

honestly man, you would end up paying an extra $200 on some of your parts for shipping. from your hallo and your name im going to assume you're from deutschland. I can look up some deutsche websites for you when i get home. but it would help if we had a parts list of what you need. have you tryed froogle or anything else?.
