Fo Sho.

At first I was suprised that they sold. After looking into it though they made an offer and when it was eclined they began the process of a hostile takeover and then AB caved.

Used to drink bud, now I am partial to miller, I don't know why....

Re: budwieser has gone belgian

well bud products were garbage, and there are a lot of great belgian beers, so the beer can only get better. However I highly doubt the existing beers will change at all, that would be stupid.

Re: budwieser has gone belgian

there are lots of interesting things happening because of the buyout, they are now #1 in china, which is a HUGE emerging market for beer sales.

on another note, have any of you had bud while in europe? It was brewed at the guiness plant in ireland, and it was slightly different and much better tasting. now that inbev owns them, that will change because they are competitors...

Gentlemen, there are only two kinds of beer: budwieser and free.

I am not a huge fan of Bud or Miller but i have a ton of respect for them. That is some of the most difficult beer to brew and they do it consistently for years. Winter, summer, different hops, different grain...it always tastes the same. They have mad skills with brewing.

When I want to drink a lot of beer (more than 9) I dring bud (real bud, budlight is gay's drink). Like that I have no headache and I don't feel too bad.

Otherwise I drink everything I can get lol

No, I was thinking about how terribly difficult it was to craft the distinct flavors of formaldehyde, formaline, and chloryl hydrate into every batch of Budweiser with unerring accuracy.

Right and wrong. They are easy to brew if you want to make a batch in your kitchen that will taste nothing like the next batch you make. With light lagers like that ANY off-taste is front stage. Fermentation temperatures just a tenth of a degree off or small alpha acid changes would be instantly noticeable. Not to mention the cold fermentation temperatures required versus an ale complicate the process. They make their money on being easy to drink and consistency. Pick up Zymurgy magazine some time. They never have bad things to say about the big breweries. Sure we all prefer something with flavor but i don't see the need for the hate on the big breweries. Just my opinion. I drink the beer i brew.

Drink one of theirs and you'll understand why we hate on the big breweries.

Coors

inbrev is a anti-gun anti-freedom company. they lobbied heavy in brazil to have personal firearms banned.

"As an avid sportsman and hunter, I believe that we must protect our right to bear arms. I also believe in teaching our children proper respect for firearms and the freedom that our forefathers gave us with the Second Amendment." -- Pete Coors (current chairman of the Coors Brewing company)

I will say in Jax we have a Budweiser Bottling deal here, its pretty huge, and I hope these belgian fucks dont screw up the program and start changing ---- and closing plants etc...

Would not affect me, but I have ill feelings about this whole deal.

When I do drink...rolling rock ftmfw, and no I am NOT emo....at all. :P

I think merging with a belgian company might give them better taste.
