Re:Bow Down bitches!!!!!Pics of the install
yes julio, it's as funny as you think. I could try and talk the talk, but why bother, if I sound like a geeky white person to a crowd of differently placed ethnic people it's just damn funny.
Reminds me of this night that I was hanging out with my ex g/f Lindsey and this black guy named Rhakeem trying to score a sack. We were all over town and no luck. Stopped at a gas station and this other black dude walks up and of course Rhakeem is talking to him and ---- (I believe that both of them stayed in NYC for some undetermained amount of time). The one guy asks
"Yo. Let me get a CI - B"
So I took the opportunity to make myself look like a honky dick and say "hey rhakeem, what is a C.I.B?" At least Lindsey got a good laugh out of it. I knew what he was talking about, but it was just too funny not to pass up. I can't even remember if we accomplished what we set out to do that night or not. Good times.
For those of you who are going to ask about the CIB, CI meaning cigarette, B meaning.. well you know. Too keep within the current standards of honky translation, the gentleman was asking "May I have one of your fine tobacco pieces, sir?"

Why does it matter if the crank pulley is on to tight for it not to start?

Gotta thank Raffi for hooking up a garage at his sisters place after coughMikecough flaked out the weekend before.
This wasn't an anounced install simply becuase here in So. Cal we have a 20-80 worker to slacker ratio. (Agent Murdoc is the slackers' team captain. ) This wasn't one of those ha ha days were two of us could work and the others could chat, so I invited the known workers, and "the runner" (bambi). lol
The ha ha fun install might be next weekend once I see if the car continues to be on good behaivior.
We couldn't get the ------ car started because I used the a6 crank pulley over the y8 timing belt cover. When I installed it I thought they were touching, but I took it off and the contours of the pulley and cover looked the same, so I figured it would be all good. After the 130 ft. lbs. of torque, that muthafuka almost blew up my starter! It was fun rolling it down the hill trying to pop start it though. Nothing like 4 mexi's and a whitey pushing a car backwards up a hill in the dark. Whatever, I was pissed.
Thanks to all that showed up. I should announce by Tuesday wether we'll do my install this weekend or not.

im not sure if its cause its a Y8 that the Origin of the #1 wire is different than the other like a z6 or a a6 . from what steve told me is that i had them on wrong and the guy who he had it checked said they were wrong so...i dont know ...maybe its cause it was late and i over looked somethings...
Hmm, never heard someone say the firing order backwards.. its 1-2-4-3 counter clockwise from TDC. ---- happens.. "distributor calbes" I'm assuming you mean spark plug wires?

Re:Bow Down bitches!!!!!Pics of the install
It was late. Maybe that's why I was driving around with my axle hanging out of my transmission? The guy that helped me get the car running shoved it back in there, but I think it's bent, cause when I drive I hear, "thu-thunk, thu-thunk" and it speeds up and slows down as I do. Anyone remember who put the pass. side axle back on?
