ok, so i am on a budget, becuase i am most likely picking up a turbo kit and going hmt style. anyway, i know these are not the best coilovers, but i need to know which ones suck ass the least. The car will not be my daily driver so i dont need to worry about bottoming out and having a shitty ride. Its mostly just for show and a lil better handleing at the track. Which ones should i pickup. thanks

Springs are one of those things that I find hard to believe that there is all that much difference (manufact. wise), but I just could never rock springs that cost $13 shipped brand new. :'(

most every kit you buy even GC's come with a 450 front set 350 rear set. the only difference is the more expensive ones when you order you can ask for a different spring rate and not pay extra. you also get nicer warentees.

just going for the look man, everyones got a lil ricer in them. and i just dont like stock ride height and would rather spend the money on speed. They all pretty much the same then?

with my CDM experience :6

bomz works really good for what it is. it has 450 in the front and 350 in the back, but then you will need some good shocks to work with it, at least some AGX, not even the the HP shocks will hold up.

The best one would be some tom-motorsport coilovers , those are exact copies of the ground control :8 works like a champ but again u will need some good shocks such as agx to work with it.

if you are planning to stay with ur good-OLD stock shocks, just forget about it because it will ride and drive like a PIECE OF ----.

Honestly I had a pair of drop zone egay coilovers on the 94 4dr teg I used to have and they were on there over a year and rode great, only thing is I made sure to replace a blown shock when I put them on and another one gave out after about a year but after replacing it there were no problems at all.

Yeah, I was using stock shocks, if you use stock shocks just make sure that they arent blown as ----, but if you are tucking then there is a good chance that its still going to ride like ----

just bought some bomz yo. ill slam my hatch and let you know how they ride. If i blow shocks then ill slap the bomz onto some aftermarket shocks. thanks brothas

i didnt pay much for my groundcontrols shocks and springs. they ride really good. at the track is when you want good shocks and springs i would think.

Donald, how extensive is your CDM knowledge? The worst part about springs is that 17 yr olds reccomend apc coilovers as "the best ride ever" even though they've never had anything different.
I'd hate to cheap out on springs, but if you're CDM qualified than I could take your advice. :)

LOL I handle them everyday and i`ve driven crx/accord/interga/civic even WRX with those coilovers. seriously they are pretty nice for what it is :y

again try to look for "tom-motorsport" coilovers. they look just like the real ground control :S, newer style has sliver sleeves and green "tein styled " springs LOL all these coilovers has equal lenght sleeves/springs both front and back, the 450 goes to the front and 350in the back but i would put the heavier ones in the back just for easy off the understeer a bit. :S

Intrax super sport springs, 2.5" drop and the ride is very nice.

they are known to make noise if you didn`t install the spring with the supplied rubber shims top and bottom

If you are going to put these one, which you already purchased so I'm guessing yeah, don't be cheap wna wait to have everything, it makes no sense to take everything appart 3 or 4 times. :1 :1 :1
They work pretty good if you add the parts listed below. Of course these are not competition parts but they work.

You WILL need:
Camber kit all around.
If you just put these on and slam it all the way down your tire will look like this / \ they will be ruined in about a month. It's not fun to buy tires every month, or two have one blow out doing 90 on the highway, which we all know you will be doing. You can find a now name kit on ebay for $80.

Decent Gas Shocks.
Talking about Tokico or KYB at least. Better if you get the adjustables, good enough to get the regular ones. A set of KYB GR2's should be around $60 each, maybe $250. If you don't do this, the car will suck to drive. It will bounce more than your :insert a loved one here: in bed and could damage other parts.

Of course you won't listen to me or anyone else. Honestly after spending $80-$100 on used tires every month, you would have wished you did it the right way.

Cheap coils are not going to improve you traction at the track you are going to bounce all over the place, If its for apperance then there fine but don't think they are going to help you and you are going to need a stiffer spring rate in the back to help with launching...I rock the Koni yellow and Gc 450f 600r damn stiff ride and on my crx it handles amazing and i got them used for $200 :6 you should have just kept your eye out for good deals...I have all top of the line stuff second hand and it is great dosen't hurt the wallet as much but still great quality and usually the good stuff has lifetime warrenty and/or are rebuildable in the case of the koni's

Springs will give you a better ride, coils will get you lower but sacrifice some of the ride quality and you may blow out shocks if yo don't get some that can handle being low...which the full coil over will be better if you want to go low and ride a beeter than most sleeve style coils

so, pretty much if i buy just coilovers, ill blow my shocks and throw my alignment off. I am not going to buy cheap ---- for my hatch. So i am mainly going for the look, but do not want to blow out shocks. and dont wanna spend a ton. let me kno wat i should get.

its al personall prefference too, I love the Konis and GCs but there is alternatives I believe there was a redsign of the OMni power coils and they are around $600, thats a full coil over shock and springs but thats probably more than you want to spend :-\

dude just get the cheap ----. my neighbor got some on his hatch not too long ago, it drives just fine. about the shocks they should last you at least a year. Alignment will get fucked either way, more with some and less with others. so just go and pay for them. here is a pic of his car.

forgot to mention the integra is on the third set of tires. still no alignment. :-\
