Re: BOTI Aftermath
I really didn't know what to expect, but I had a pretty damn awesome time.
Some of my highlights:
-Hangin' out with all of you HMT cats and seeing other familiar faces. It's always good to kick it with people you don't see regularly.
-Watching a ton of fast cars. That WorldOne CRX (Beau's twin) did a 9.7, I got to see Dave hit an 11.7, Bisi doing 10's in his Insight, and many more cars. LoL, Jeff does 12's in the blue eg and goes "ehh... it doesn't feel fast." Also it's too bad Dustin couldn't run any slicks. I remember someone telling me that Beau breaks something with every visit to the track, sucks *** that it happened again this time...
-Chatting with random people is always fun. Interesting conversation happens when you get a bunch of car freaks in one place. Me and Jeff were standing next to the Kia and like 10 people showed up around it, haha!
-FINALLY hitting 14's (all I wanted was a 14.6 out of what's on my car right now). It's funny that I'm happy about 14's, but in an extremely MILD-NA, heavy GS-R, it's something to be happy about. I did a 14.6 @ 95.5 mph with a 2.4 60', so I think I could do better if I could improve my launches.
-I "won" the class that I went to compete in - Street Stock (NA 4 Cylinders, no swaps allowed). LoL, what actually happened was I was the only person to enter in the class. I made a qualifying pass, and the announcer goes "something tells me that this Green Integra is going to win." It doesn't feel like a "good" win because I didn't get to race anyone (I really wanted to run some Type R's), but ---- it, I spent a bit of time getting my car ready to compete for this event, so I figured I'd earned it. Besides, I was hitting faster times than the ITR's anyways :P <<---hope that doesn't sound cocky... just saying how it feels.
Here are some funny pictures. They're funny because I pretty much got these items for racing by myself:
