Default Boost to HP relation?

I know its not an exact science but does anyone know approx how many hp you get for each psi of boost? I heard somewhere that 1lb of boost = approx 9hp.

it depends on too much to have an equation like that.. compression ratio, timing, fuel delivery... no way to really no.. but u can get ball park figures.
