do it. get the money. transfer it out of your paypal account so you cant lose it. and take your time sending it out. make sure he really wants it and that he doesnt file a refund

It sounds like bullshit.

Here is what you do:

Tell him to bid $1,600 on ebay (so there is record of this offer). Have one of your friends bid $1,550 so this guy will win the auction and be contractually obligated to pay.

THEN do what dtrain said (wait for payment, withdraw from paypal immediately, THEN ship the TV).

Get a paypal check and wait till it comes in and cash it.That way paypal loses the money not you.
