my wife called me outside because the neighbour's garage had smoke billowing out of it. thank god his garage door was open. i grabbed my fire extinguisher out of my house and ran into his garage and tried to put out the flames coming out of the front grill... no luck, someone was able to get the guy to come out the front door because he was in the basement sleeping... he gave me the keys and i put it in N and pulled the damn thing out so his whole house wouldn't burn down. the guys from the fire dept weren't too concerned as they seemed to take their sweet time putting it out. damn, that smoke was something awful- i can still taste it in my mouth :P. what the hell kinda car spontaneously catches fire? i'll never buy one based on this alone. he was lucky his garage door was open!

Holy ----, I wonder what happened? That's a good way to total a BMW. :l I like how the fire department decided to use a big pry bar instead of the hood latch to open the hood. :y

Lol. Yeah that is wierd. My guess is its gonna be electrical related. Ive seen quite a few volkswagens burn sorta like this one (usually worse).

The CRV fire problem was notorious....

Second: the salvage value on that burned out Bimmer is likely more than the total value of several of the little CRXes buzzing around the board....
