Hey, trying to find out until what hp it's recommended to use blockguard?

A properly designed block guard doesnt cause overheating.That being said just slap rods and pistons in and call it a day.I wouldnt bother with anything unless you got coin for sleeves.

I dont like block gaurds for the reason you "tap" them in. you can distort the cylinders alot with them, not just out of round but acually moving the whole thing from one side to the other. Its not really the designs fault its because they are not going on to a machined surface and no two blocks water jackets are exactly the same. If a person was to file fit one to perfection and weld that bitch in place then bore it and deck it, it would work fine. Again though like it was said, not needed.
