Blew my ZC at the track...
I went to the track about two weeks ago and did a best of 13.7@104mph on street tires with a stock internaled ZC.
I went back on Saturday and decided to tune it. Apparently I decided to lean it out too much and had the BTM set too low. I had 180 psi across all 4 cylinders about a month ago, now I have 180 180 100 180. All that's happening is I have a lot of fumes and gases coming out the pcv valve. I probably fried the rings, or ring lands.
My best time on Saturday was 13.9@106 on street tires and 2.4 60'.
Next step is to get the a sleeved block, pistons, and rods. I found someone who is selling this new; golden eagle sleeved d16a1 block, wiseco roller wave pistons and eagle rods.
How much should I look to pay for this?

That sucks, but like Jeff said, check your headgasket first. #3 is always first to go though. Well, look at it on the bright side, now you can build it right and run high 12's with your new stup.

Re:Blew my ZC at the track...
Thanks man.
I doubt it's the head gasket as I already blew it a few times before so I decided to torque this one down to 70ft/lbs.
The ones I blew in the past had the typical sweet coolant smell and light white smoke out the exhaust. This time I am not getting either. All I am getting is a kinda shitty idle and alot of ---- coming out the pcv valve on the valve cover. It's so bad that the fumes come in the car due to all the rust holes I have in my car.
I don't know what I am going to do as of yet:
1-build up the motor the right way now
2-put it on hold for a year or two
3-give up on it and get a new make of car that won't get stolen.
Looks like my 87 volvo 740 turbo intercooled 5spd will be hitting the road.
I'll take pics when I rip the engine apart.

I would bet you blew the ring lands...I just pulled the head on my engine the other day and found 3 pistons missing large chunks of ring land...had smoke pouring out my breather filter and out my exhaust....hehehe...I love the carnage though....

Re:Blew my ZC at the track...
what is it with #3 always leaning out? is it the intake manifold design or something... the #3 is the one that melted a piston in my buddys turbo d16a6 when he was racing a s2000 in heavy traffic @ redline in 5th... anyway it was a good excuse for him to get a fully built motor.
