announcement: my car was broadsided this afternoon. by a ------- fiero. great. all the work, in the ---- hole. I loved this ------- car, i have had this car for 8 years. I feel like my first child was taken away from me. this was the last time i cryed, for that other thread on here.

the knuckle arm is bent....the steering arm is trashed.....and i think it might be a little deep since i couldn't get in the glove box to get my registration.

To me it would be. No car will ever be the same after damage like that. I hate body damage and body shops. That would take the body shops out here like 6 months and $7600 to fix. :-\

you obviously don't know squat about autobody. a repair like that. just the door and the fender will cost less than $1000. to fix. oh and that's a very expensive
estimate. i bet if deadcivic looks around hard enough he could find a shop that'll do the repair in less than two weeks.

You obviously don't know ---- about the body shops around here and you obviously failed to read my post or the other guys post. ::) He says his glovebox wouldn't even open so I'm sure it's more damaged than you can see, plus he says "the knuckle arm is bent....the steering arm is trashed.....and i think it might be a little deep since i couldn't get in the glove box to get my registration." so I'm sure it's going to cost a bit more than your internet estimate.

I'll pay you $1000 if you could get that car fixed 100% for less than $1000 and under 2 weeks in this town. ::)

Fo sho that car is screwed up now. The kid I sent my door to got an estimate for replacing the door/glass/realigning it/etc. $1600. Shops are ridiculous with prices :( (But he made out, since the bitch that hits him is gonna owe him the $1600 and he bought the door $350 shipped haha) ;)

man, just go the junkyard and replace the fender and

door. if you are lucky they might be red also. no

more than $300 for both. If you got quater panel

damage, then you got some wrk for yourself.

which i fixed.

Thats what I was going to say.Yeah its maybe $500 in parts but that bitch will be "dog trailing" if the frame is bent.

since honda's are build very acuratly they dont give you any alignment adjustments other than toe. Its not like a chevy or ford were you can compensate for a little bent ----. Even if you replaced the suspension Its highly unlikely that the frame will be strait, yes it can be pulled, will it ever be the same HELL NO! Good luck with insurance :-\

You need to find out how much is the ins co. is putting up for the damage. Then you need to decide if it's worth fixing. I'm no pro to body damage but i'll try fix it, but you need to limit the amount of money that you would have spent in it. Save the ins. money to put up for another car.

looks like it juts needs a door and a fender.
(if the hanger behind the door is still stright.)
500 repair. + $200 paint job = 700 bucks.
Knuckle from junky = 75 dollars
steering arm (tie rod???) = 35 bucks from junky
labor = free
Aligment = 65
total = 875
that`s all i can tell from the pic. :P

Anyone that goes against whatever Dr.Boost and Sinister say is a ------- moron and needs to buy a mountian bike instead of a car.
The firewall took some impact and the metal compressed on itself, resuling in him not being able to open the glove box, because the whole car shifted. the tolerances of the unibody I bet are 10mm over. the car will never be the same, you'd have to strip the interior and take the whole car to the frame to fix that, and it still wouldnt behave as if it were from the factory.

i used to help armenians(SP?) do autobody repair, from the looks of it the door and the rubber of the tire took all the impact, if i were you and you were gonna fix it yourself, make sure the upper connecter on the u arm up top where the knuckle isnt bent, get a new knuckle and drop the rack put on a new rack cuz the arm is prolly bent inside to where it will pull to one side if you just replace the one arm. the door/fender isnt far enough in to have frame damage.

as far as your glove box not opening your dash inner frame prolly took a little shifting, thats why its not opening. pry the bitch open with a big flatty after you take the passenger side door off then smack the inside of the right side of the inner dash (where the glove box sat) with a rubber mallet until it closes smoothly. :)

hope this helps you and gets you on your way. from the looks of it its not that bad i have seen cars that are crushed from the rear to the center and be repaired so your damage dont look so bad. if you are in cali you can get some HK parts (they are like oem just thinner) from a place called levans auto parts, fender new is about 50-80 bux, i would suggest getting the door from a junkyard cuz the aftermarket wont hold up in an accident. :)

hey i am an auto body tech, i worked at a body shop for 3 years, and by looking at that damage i can say that it aint ----... it would take a major hit to ---- up your unibody at the place where the suspension bolts up to the car, most of the suspension pieces are made out of a softer metal so that way when you would get into an exident where you would take a hit in your wheel damage would be limited just to the suspension and not the frame... and as far as the glove box goes open the door and then try to open the glove box, i say the door bowed inward and the door panel is pushing into the dash and that jems the glove box, but i might be wrong because i don't have the car infront of me, so even if the door pillar did get pushed in a tad it still wouldn't be that bad, a couple of slight pulls on the frame rack will correct it in no time
