Re:better plaltform? tt 300zx or tt supra
300z's are not cheap, they go for insane amounts every day since they were such a limited production car. ---- the 350z, 90-96 is where the action is at. The TT Z's are pricey and hard to find with low miles.
So you're telling me the supra motor can just bolt up to a TH350 chevy transmission? If that's the case then the bell housing would be compatible with a TH400, 4L60 (700r4), T5, T56 and so on transmissions. Why the hell would you want to go with a TH350 when a properly built 700r4 is one of the strongest auto transmissions out there? Way better first gear ratio, slightly better 2nd gear ration and over drive.

read sportcompactcar's articles on their project 300z.
I found some of the information regarding suspension behavior, and the cars attitude with 500whp to be interesting. It seems it has some "problems" that make actual driving of the car with over 400whp to be pretty difficult to handle if not addressed.

I see 300ZX TT's for sale all the time around Seattle/Tacoma for $9-$10k good luck finding a MKIV TT 6spd Supra for twice that, let alone one in this state. Ever since I drove my buddy's 94 TT 6spd I've wanted one( he flew to vegas to buy it) and I realize when I do get one I'll probably have to spend about $23-$25k to get a nice one, plus the probable plane ticket to where it is at.
But to get back to the question at hand, I think we need more information on what exactly your goals are.

I like both Cars, I would get the Supra, but As my budget is right now and someone gave me the money to buy a Supra I would buy a 300ZX TT and save the rest of the money to pay insurance...etc...cause I'm broke

Also a lower rear end is generally weaker, and you don't want a first gear that's too low on a turbo car...

I guess that depends on your boost goals and end results. I was stating that I would rather boost a N/A versus paying all the money to buy a TT one.
If you're going ***** out then you're not using stock pistons anyways, so that doesn't much matter.
Many TT drivers swap out for the N/A rear ends, they aren't as weak as you think.
