been thinking about turbo diesel performance...

While at home for christmas, my brother took me over to his friends house who has a 03 dodge pick-up with the cummins motor in it. (mind you my brother is a huge diesel performance nut, who is a 4cyl hater) Then he simply stated, "i gotta run into town, wanna go with me" so we hop in the truck, he pulls out onto the highway, and throws me back in the seat, the tires are smokin like a mother, of coarse smoke is pourin out of the tail pipe, this thing is haulin ass! (little did i know, my bother staged all of this) then we get back, and my brothers friend says take a look at this dyno sheet. -this was the first ever dyno sheet I have seen that was maxed out. make a long story short, he maxed out a 800hp dyno before he hit the propane 8)

anyone else ever ---- around with diesel performance. he says he only has an upgraded turbo, IC, and fuel management. -then the propane

this is my brothers "homemadeturbo.com" site:
http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/
there are some serious trucks on there... :o
if i werent going to japan, i would be lookin into getting a dodge as my next vehicle.

my dad has an 04 chevy duramax 4 door, that thing already hauls some balls, and he has this "banks 6 gun system" or some bullshit coming in and the shop that's going to install it is also putting in a boost and egt gauge and a 4 inch exhaust. needless to say I'm going to make a grocery run once it's in, crank that ---- to 6, and let the video roll for you homies to see, it should be some hot ----.

My room mate works on diesels all day long. He had a pretty fast F350. We raced one time in my old Civic and he ------- raped me off the line(he launched in 4wd) :o

The Cummins seem to respond very well to mods. I went for a ride in a new Duramax the other day that was all done up and that fucker hauled ass. It also rode very nice for such a big heavy truck. Don't be fooled by those diesels, they can go fast too. ;)

very much. I was on my way home alone in my dad's truck one rainy night, I was doing about 25 at part throttle and I just floored it and the back tires broke loose and the back of the truck was slidding side to side, it was alot of fun.

http://www.bankspower.com/Sidewinder...acetime-sm.jpg

...The Sidewinder made its 12.16 pass with a single turbo and no nitrous oxide or propane injection ....

...Amazing Overall Top Speed: 222.139 mph...

still gets 21mpg 8)

...not too shabby for a truck with over 700 HP and 1300 lb.-ft. of torque on tap ...

my brothers friends made 800hp :o

I saw that kit installed on a Ford Superduty during one of those shows on Spike TV. When they were done he did some pretty nice burnouts, smoke almost hid the truck. I forget all of what they changed out on the truck though, but I do remember the IC for sure.

Bullshit. I have proof of that. They can't void the warranty. If they try, it's a law suit. I've seen so many old people bitch about their warranty being voided for adding a chip and an exhaust and blah blah blah, but it's not true. I can supply all the paper work you want to back this up. They CANNOT void your warranty so don't let them tell you anything like that.

If they can prove that the chip or whatever caused the problem then your waranty claim is denied. Other than that you get waranty :P

Let's see them prove it. They can't. It can't happen. It won't happen.

Call this number tomorrow between the hours of 9-5 928)505-3010 and ask about the warranty issues. They will fax you all the information you need if you are having doubts.

also, if you use a KN filter on your diesel, you are asking for problems.

they work fine on the street but they are not recomended for offroad if you plan on keeping it for a long time. My turbo gets dirty with a k&n and stays clean with the stocker but you give up about 30 horse on a 6.0l :P

Find me a company that recommends off road racing to test out their products.

I've had mechanics tell me Honda's blow head gaskets for no reason at 75,000 miles N/A, I've had mechanics tell me I need a whole new front suspension which will total over $800 when it was actually just some bad upper control arm bushings, I've had mechanics tell me I need a whole new motor when the timign belt was off a tooth. Just because the guy is a "mechanic" doesn't mean he is right. ;)

Yeah, I would trust it since I've seen thousands of problem free diesels running K&N filters and I live in AZ which is as dusty and dirty as they come. No problems out here. :-\
