Been a long time... (pics)
Wow, its been a long time since i've actually made a post here that was just a 'fun' post.. heh. Anyway, some of you may or may not know me, but i had a nice little yellow CRX with a turbo'd B16A in it... this one:
The car unfortunately met a very untimely demise. Since then, the motor and a few other parts have been sitting around just waiting for me to install them into something else. That something else just happens to be another CRX that i've had laying around for a while, and not really done anything to. Well, i got bored, and decided that i was sick of seeing this motor on the ground, and the car up on jackstands.
So, we went ahead and installed it into its new home earlier today so that i could do a bit of work to it, like finish the new turbo manifold We *may* have the car out at the upcoming Bradenton, FL NOPI race, but even if it goes, it won't be running in time unless a miracle happens... Ah well, here's some pics of todays adventures
Here you see the engine sitting very nice and clean... we bead-blasted damn near everything on the top of this motor... there will still be some other things done, but it looks quite nice sitting in the black engine bay.
An overall shot of the black car, showcasing the current state of its condition... as of right now, the dash is installed, as well as most every single piece of stock interior, and a working sunroof...
Nice shot of the engine bay, and the turbo manifold that has yet to be finished. It'll be done in the next few days though when i get a chance to get around to it... sorta like why the motor went in today... i was bored.. heh.
Neat picture showing how the cage shock tower supports tie into the motor mount to help give it some added strength and safety.
Ah well, hope you enjoyed the pics Much more to come in the next couple months... hopefully it'll also be ready in time to actually drive itself to the FLCRXminiMEET... hehe

Thanks for the nice compliments guys
Crippled Giraffe: Yep... sure did... i'll be finishing it here shortly... i just couldn't actually finish it before, until we had the motor in the car to see how much room we had to work with.
turbohf: The Y49 unfortunately got into an accident with another CRX... we were travelling down a road, and a car in front of him slammed on his brakes, he slammed on his brakes, i hit mine, and there just wasn't enough time... so, the front of my car, found the rear of his car. His CRX was badly damaged on the rear frame, and basically folded the car up... my car had light damage in the front, and was completely repairable.
So, rather than to cost us all a lot of money in insurance crud, we decided it would be better to fix rather than risk either car being totalled out by insurance. So, i basically gave my car to him, took out all of my turbo stuff and suspension, transferred his motor/suspension/interior parts into it, and then cut up his wrecked car. This let me pull my black car out of the garage at my apartment, and bring it into the shop to start working on it. So, at least it is 'living on', but just with a different owner now
Abaz: Hey, i figure one or two posts a year ought to do it... LoL.. j/k

Hey ComposiMo When are you gonna get some substance behind that link? I can't even count the # of times I've clicked it and nothing but hours and links. Not trying to be an ***, I'm just wondering when there will be products to see/buy.

CRwreckz: No problem.... i don't take it as you 'trying to be an ***'.... trust me, i am just about as pissed off as everyone else is that my site is basically a dead end alley. Things are coming into place a little bit better over here though, and i've gotten some more help at the shop, and it is allowing me more time to do things like work on the website... Which is what i'll be doing most of the day each day for the next week probably.
It'll be up soon... for real this time.. LoL..
By the way, if you are looking for something in particular, shoot me an email and ask... just because we don't list it on the site, doesn't mean that we can't get it
