The bank will either
a) put you into their own collection and/or put a hold on any new account you open (at any financial insitution that is in reach of US law)
b) take you to court and absolutely destroy you. The arguement that "hey, they put it MY account, that's not my fault" is definitely not a legal arguement.
BTW, I don't mean to sound like a dick or anything, I'm just saying that so you know what can happen.

Re: Bank gave me $2500
haha yeah I understand.
I already said a while back if they want it back they'll get it back without a problem. I just used it to pay some ---- while paypal get's their stuff together. I know they'll eventually want it, and if by some miracle they don't, I'll be a happy SOB.

Re: Bank gave me $2500
yeah bro. your not gonna like the other end of the stick when this ---- hits the fan. Its not like they are gonna call you up and say 'hey, I was just thinking, there was a mistake, and you have an estra $2000 of our money. When you get a chance, can you bring that by our place, k thanks bye'.
you'll get a letter saying you have x amount of days to repay it (and it will be like 5 working days), you wont have the money, and then you will get another letter saying you need to go to court because your *** is being sued. I wouldnt have touched it. At least give it a month or so before you touched it.
Now, had a month or so gone on, and nothing happened to it...fair ------- game.
True story to a friend of my uncles:
Guy stops to help someone else who was broke down along side the road...its like 5 degreese outside, fix's the guys car, tells him he doesn't want a payment...just to have a nice day. Its a small town in Montana...guy goes back to his car, finds a peice of mail missing, the envelope is there....inside the envelope is a few hundred bucks. The next day, the bank calls and says he needs to come in right away. Guy goes into his bank and finds out his house and his car(s) are paid for...and theres $5000 extra in his account. Turns out that guy that was broke down along the road was a billionare and wanted to help the stranger out who helped him. Karma. It can go either way. 100% true story by the way...
in taht case, I would have went out and blew all $5000.

I think I want to change my mind about my previous post on the situation. I found out this morning that my bank charged me $114 in NSF fees for "bouncing" 3 credit card transactions. I have overdraft protection and there is money in my savings so they shouldn't have fucked me over like that. I'm going down tomorrow to bitch and probably close my accounts. $38 per NSF is ridiculous itself, but I shouldn't even have been charged that ---- because the money should have came out of my savings.

Re: Bank gave me $2500 UPDATE
Well, the ball is rolling
I had about 300-400 left in the account, and today I tried to use my debit card at a gas station. "Auth Failed"
----
Went to another, it asked for my pin so thought everything was ok...
"Transaction Denied"
So...guess I'll have to wait and see how this goes If paypal would hurry the ---- up with my money I'd be alright.
