Back from Road Trip... 56k unfriendly...
Got back last night.. good 7 day trip 3128 miles total, not bad.
Heres my rental, wasnt to bad, I was thinking I was going to get a Geo or Kia. But this worked out to be pretty decent. I dont know what model it is, SL? I really didnt care, it had AC, which was most important, and enterprise gave me a brother-in-law deal Great gas milage too!!!!!
This was the first mod that had to be done, a little air filter removal.. Gave it that nice Airbox throaty sound, lol
Oregon, has the most homosexual speedlimits, so I had to bust out the radar detector, worked pretty decent.
First stop was in St. Helens Ore. to visit "Johnny" aka Random-strike. I wanted to check out his place and setup. I sold him my b20 head, Custom manifold, downpipe and other shiet..
His garage just ------- cracked me up, full of beer cans and guns. LOL
I ended up driving all the way to Sacremento the first night and stayed with a member on HMT. Thanks again, Turbochick.
Vegas was nice, this was my 4th Road trip to vegas, So I didnt take to many pics, Just visited with my old man, and met up with some friends.
Met another HMT member, James.. Really nice guy, kinda showed me around town, had a few drinks and did the whole gambling deal, didnt loose too too much
James, said it was a MUST that I eat at a IN-N-OUT Burger or whatever while I was down there, and I must agree.. by far the best fast food I have ever had in my life.
Cruized around in his little Z6 Equipped Crx..
After Vegas, I hauled some serious *** to San Dimas Cali to Golden Eagle. Unfortunetly, the Saturn had a speed Govener at 110mph
Had My B18b Ls in the trunk flying around the whole way down.
Golden Eagle's shop, I was a little leary checking this place out, heard a few odd things.. But man after getting a full shop tour, meeting all the workers and owners. Plus the homie-g-hookup deal I'm getting, I'm very excitied to get my block back!
Quick Stop in Rancho Cucomonga, home of "Stealthy Steve" Stealthmode.. Thanks for being there ***.. Left his .48 housing in the BBQ and some stickers. Btw, whats the deal with the 10 foot visibilty level in RC? nasty smog...
On my way up to Willows Cali, I had to stop and get Gas, and I ------- could not believe the gas prices, jesus!
I wanted to make good time, so this means no stops... little **** in the Gatorade bottle, btw, dont try using a Snapple bottle, they fill quickly
Finally made it to Thunderhill in Willows Cali. The West Coast Honda Challenge put on by Team Continental.
I was crewing for Jim Hill (jhill) a close friend of mine. He has a 89 Crx mods:
Stock B16a w/ Y1 LSD Tranny
AEM EMS (obd1 conversion) w/ FTO Wideband
DC 4-2-1 header
Stock Air box
Proflow Design Throttle-Body
2.5 Exhaust
Nothing too too dramatic, but, its definatly a fast car on the track!
Cars sitting in Pregrid for the Rising Sun Champ Race.
Jim's car is higher maintnence than my ex-girlfriend.
2 Axles Broke
2 Rotors, and 2 sets of brake pads
1 Ignitor
1 Thermostat
Along with Alignments, torqing lugs, putting the car on stands, filling with gas, adjusting brakes. I really had my hands full inbetween all the sessions, learned alot about road racing. and I met some cool people.
Overall, great ------- time at the track, Jim got 1st place (twice) in SPU, and 2nd Place (twice) in the Honda challenge H1 Class (rising sun)

After The racing was over, I headed out with Jim to the Coast, to see the Big Red Wood Trees of Cali. Pretty neat I guess some trees are over 1400 years old, One was 385 feet tall w/ a base of 50 feet.
This was my little buddy the whole trip! Riley Hill, jim's son.. Great kid.

Lots of fun, its nice to take 12 days off work and just cruise, I kinda wish I had my car at times, especially in Redding Cali, jesus christ, looked like a Fast and Furious scene down there!
