Default audio guys, need some help.

My speakers sounded like they were blow. Well more specifically the rear driver side speaker. So i bought a set of jenson 75w speakers and replaced them. It still sounds blown. The stuff involved is
a. poineer head unit 45x4 watts
b. poineer 6.25 up front 75w
c. stockers in the back ?w
d. Brand new 75w jenson speakers 6.25 in rear
e. A rca converter coming from my back left speaker to my amp
f. 2 12" subs

after i replaced the speaker in the rear, i noticed my front left one was popping too, so i replaced that one. Now i have jenson on the left side of the car, and a poineer up front right, and stock in right rear. If i turn the volume up so i can clearly hear it on the highway (its not loud enough to blow them, still pretty quiet) it starts popping again on the same speaker. What i think i have narrowed it down to is either the head unit or the rca converter. But im hella broke and i cant afford to replace stuff that isn't broke. So can someone help me figure out what it is? It pops mostly on treble, but sometimes on bass if the song is heavy on the bass. I can turn up the mids almost all the way before they start popping, but they pop with the treble or bass just barely up. I don't think i blew all 4 speakers, but thats what it sounds like. I have a pretty good deck i need to throw in if i can ever get the screw out of the back of my current deck so i can get it out of my dash. Just frustrating as ---- cuz i can't listen to music on the way to work. Someone help me. I can post pics if needed.

So you have 6 speakers? Do you have 2 speakers hooked up to one channel on the head unit, thats bad the head unit can't handle the 2 ohm load. Also the rca convertor shold be hooked up to two speakers. We have what is called stereo, that means that the music coming out of the left speaker is different than what is coming out of the right.

i only put the jensons on the left side becuase that is where the blown speakers are. yeah the rcs converter just converts regular speaker wires to rca wires. im gunna go ahead and hook up the rca converter to both back speakers, i never thought about the stereo thing. i guess i can give it another shot at getting the head out today though. hopefully that will fix it.

Sounds like you have a wiring issue. First I would just get some regular RCA wires and run them for the subs (or unplug them and see if it gets better). If that doesn't help check for bad connections. I had the same problem in my EF hatch. Turned out the wire was messed up somewhere between the passenger seat and the rear speaker. Instead of hunting it down I just ran new speaker wire and it sounded fine.

that RCA converter is going to cause some issues. Those are made for stock system setups. Meaning, using a stock ehad unit, and an amp/ subs. In your case, you need to fork out $10 on RCAs, run them from the head unit back, and you should be fine. Also, I would recommend throwing the stock speakers away, taking the jensens back wherever u got them, and upgrading to a real sound system. Personally, I'm running db drive component sets in my integra, and I'm highly satisfied. I believe that >$200 invested for crystal clear quality sound is well worth it. Is your radio straight wired into the dash as well?

use a process of elimination. disconnect amp sub. if it sounds better then its that. its probably just your head unit tho. try and swap that out and see if it works. line out converters are for stock headunits and they sound like ----. quit being cheap and get a cheap pioneer 3000 with preouts.

first check your wiring at the speaker and make sure its right
AKA. switch the wires around and see if you have them backwards if you do youll no it when you hook it up. it will sound different
run your RCAs straight to your sub amp without the converter
could possiblly be a bad headunit

the reason im using the rca convertor is becuase for the life of me, i cant get this deck out. its a pain in the *** but this way works. if i could get it out, i have a deck my bro bought last year for like almost 300 i want to put in. but anyways, i almost pulled the whole dash trying to get that eck out today, and then my friend shows up and asks why im doing that. so i turn up the volume and sure enough, seems fixed. didnt change anything besides running an extra wire for the whole stereo thing mentioned earlier. so im just gunna pay my friend to pull it out and ill rewire it for the new cd player and it will be good.
