That's about it. You'll learn to hate car salesman, because every ---- they make and every bullshit promise they tell a customer comes back to you.

Being a mechanic is a good way to make an honest living. Master techs around Detroit/Chicago seriously make like $37/hour. That's some pretty good bank.

well generally if u want to make some big bucks then u have to go to school for a while (5 yrs or so) and even become a certified engineer. if you want to be damn good or the best at what u do( i highly recommend this for any profession)
You can go to school and major in mechanical engineering and learn all the real deal ---- that the homies at the factory do.. big math #'s and ----. If you enjoy cars then by all means go for it, and there are a lot of respectable positions that u dont even have to get ur hands dirty and u can still be a mechanic. I used to work Nissan corporate building and right next door they had a research and development department and i talked to these guys all the time and they never got dirty just looked at a lot of tight ass transmissions and everything else to make sure they were good to go, they even went out and drove the cars to ---- all the time, which was awesome.
If u got any ?'s about the schooling bs pm me

i'm a honda tech in north carolina, it's a very good paying profession in you are a car junkie like me. but eventually you will get tired of do'n the everyday bullshit maintenance. but around here it's the only way to make a live'n with cars because there just isn't enough demand for performance work to support a family.

I'm a flat rate tech at Nissan & Kia.. Its ok I guess, the first year you will spend all your money on tools and a nice toolbox, thats just the way it goes. I think its a good trait to have and learn, just so you will be able to fix your own things. But I honestly cant see myself doing this the rest of my life. Money is ok, just go with a decent product line.
