lol, what it means is that since we are no longer on the gold standard our currency value is based on confidence from other countries and the stock market, just because you don't have money in the market doesn;t mean it won't effect you, i mean hell how many people had access to buy stocks in 1929?

The main problem will be if our dollar system collapses and is no longer worth anything like germany prior to the depression (in 1922 the mark was at 130billion to the dollar) personally i am not worried because i do have money in the stock market and its going up pretty much everyday (ticker is GLD). Don't get me wrong though, I don't really care and am not saying the sky is falling or whatever, I just want to explain whats happening so its more understandable.
