Re:anyone tried the Falken Azenis ?
i had some one my car (1956014's) and well....i went threw them pretty quick. had some camber/toe/turbo issues, like i had some toe in on a turbo Honda...so my burnouts fucked the tires pretty quick. didnt seem to help too much for grip but its not a drag slick. i will try them again when i get some desent wheels to put them on...

Re:anyone tried the Falken Azenis ?
Just got a fresh set on, about 500m or so. Overall, they do hook up pretty well in a straight line, and I can tell a bit of diff. from my old set of Bridgestone RE730' which were good tires as well. I havnt pushed them hard in corners at all yet (car is always full of parts and ----), but based on straight line grip, Im sure I will like them.
For the $$$ you cant go wrong. Besides getting some drag radials, I am planning on buying these again.

the falken azenis is really the poorman's race tire. large treadblocks, grippy rubber, stiff sidewalls. of course a good dry tire sucks in rain. the azenis is actually very popular and constantly on back order at some places.

I have the 60/14's myself...I eat em up reallly fast, but they're only 54 a piece(free shipping) from tirerack.com....I've bought them the last 4 or 5 times I've bought tires...they hook up great, and I've had no problems in the rain, even when they're bald...like mine are now

They are the tire of choice for SCCA racers who run in street tire classes. They are the stickiest street legal tire you can get for road racing, but not the best for drag racing.
They do wear out quickly, but are inexpensive as hell.
