Re:Anyone ever use ZEX nitrous?

it isn't a great idea to run your nitrous off a manual switch like that. you should run a two switch system. first use a toggle swithc as an arming switch (like a off and on switch) that just supplies power to the system- this should also be looped into your ignition switch so the system can't be powered up when the car is off. for the second switch all you need is a small micro switch to position on your throttle body so that when the throttle is wide open (WOT) it will activate the solenoid and spray nitrous into your engine. this way you don't have to worry about switching it on and off manually inbetween shifts. there is also no chance of spraying when not under a WOT condition- if you do you could have problems.

i don't know much about the zex systems but as far as what everyone else has said, it sounds like it could be a loose connection somewhere- i'd check all the wiring again. your solenoid should only click once for open and once for closed.

Ok, we'll go back and check the conections. As far as having a double switch, we have that. One for arming and the manual buttong (for now) for activating. The 75 shot is definately working, and it's the notrious solenoid clicking on and off constantly. I'm not sure if this is how Zex designed the "smart box" to regulate N20 to fuel mixture or what. We've contacted Zex about it and are waiting for a reply.

When you turn the switch on, it is activeated, It sprays when you are at full throttle, It should not keep clicking. Just one click, I had some problems with that to but it was cuase i tested it without the nitrous hooked up to it. If you dont have the nitrous bottle open and you hit it the silnoid will just keep clicking, check your line and make sure they are tight and make sure your ground wire is making a good contact, Getting the box set is a bitch, If ya look under the wet kit intructions on the site it shows ya how to set it, And the brain box, does increase full based off of bottle pressure.

Oh we've got it programmed right ;) It's definately spraying. Feels pretty good for an Isuzu, but I'm still hooked on Turbo power. Anyway I don't know what to say about the clicking. It works, don't know why it's clicking, but a long as it's working thats all that matters I guess. If worse comes to worse he's got another solenoid box he could hook up.

You got a purge valve to? You can hear that to... people around the street in Greeley, Colorado go around showing off their 20 shot of nitrous by purging their bottles, its rather funny.

Re:Anyone ever use ZEX nitrous?

your not getting the full shot if its clicking.. it needs to be hoooked up to the tps right.. and if you are sending it a direct 12v with a switch (and not using tps) it will ---- it up farily fast.

Re:Anyone ever use ZEX nitrous?

I've used Zex in the past and is currently installed on one of my buddy's car. It SHOULD NOT be clicking continously. You are essentially not getting the full effect if its clicking the way that you are describing. Figure out the TPS and wire it up and use it the way ZEX have it setup...

I'd love to see 100 shot inthat Rodeo! hah =)
