Disagree.

I'll find forty seven high 13 to mid 15 second V8 S10's to every one in the tens or lower. The ones that run well just stick out in your mind... sort of lexactly ike Honduhs.

Lol...ya know, it may even be higher than that. 350 s-10's and 5.0 ford rangers are a popular one with alot of the highschool kids up here. Along with cavaliers and neons with big grape-fruit cannons and shopping cart wings. :P
Hands down the only one's who will create a fast s-10 usually fall into one categorie:
1. The older crowd, mid 20's and above who have the working knowlegde of the machine they're trying to build, and the means to get them there. They choose the s-10 because it's a cheap platform around here, much cheaper than a camaro or older muscle car body and still has a full-frame chassis.

You know, I've seen maybe one V8 swapped Ranger and it was owned by an older dude.

I've never seen one at the track. :-\

They do rather well when done properly. Same rules apply as with the s-10 though...4 link is mandatory. I think the engine bay is a tad tighter than the s-10's though. :-\

local kid named matt has a 428 stuffed into a ranger with 31x14 slicks out back, and what sounds like headers with 2" pri and no collector, id give him around 600hp based on the 5 generations of ford racing in the family blood.

sick ranger, sickly mileage.

What, the Jim Duff traction bars don't work with V8s?
