built d15a2, t25 turbo bar and plate intercooler,mega squirt,msd6al,btm,400cc injectors straight 2.75 exhaust,wego with digital readout. yadda yadda yadda. daily driver going on 30k between 5 and 14 lbs. yeah its a 1st gen! got a few hillbillies here with smallblock powered s-10s that are scared of it. thats what matters! and the only thing i dont like about the cars looks is the front bumper. its an 87 with three times the hp its supposed to have so you can imagine what the plastic fenders are like. i got the whole kit shipped to my door for what two stock fenders cost! besides i got a boat builder helping me with this kit. it is going to use all stock mounting hardware and be completly removable. this aint gettin "sheetrock" screwed to the car and bondoed no sir!

ok maybe its 4 times the hp or 5. its about 250 at the crank im guessing. i live in the middle of nothing but taxes n.y. theres no nothing no where to test or tune this thing. theres 1 drag strip an hour away from me. megasquirt is the diy king btw! i got three diffrent vehicles that all run on the same ecu. whats with the gay sauce?? you been making alot of it there where your from???? ohh its the drool coming out of your exhaust because of your cat and 1.25 pipe huh :-*

Eh, it's a matter of swapping six pinouts and running four wires to convert Pre-OBD to OBD0, then $75 conversion harness FTW. Nonetheless, I like Megasquirt, but it is more expensive and requires more wiring.

A lot of the V8 S10's are really weak setups. Most of them are slow as death, actually, but once in a while you see one done right that blisters your ass from where you're sitting at the dragstrip. :y

I dunno, but most of them run like the timing chain was installed a tooth off and they bought a sweet 4 barrell intake but ran out of money and had to JB Weld a 2 barrell carb they found at the junkyard onto it.

To take a stupid wild ass guess, I'd go for an engine in good condition with a decent cam and large primary long tube headers with a goodly shot of nitrous.

Local V8 swapped s10's I've seen were either stock 305 or 350's from 1980's reject "muscle cars" with a 4 barrel and headers slapped on. Good idea, bad execution.
