just a copression tester, i guess that's what it's called, it just one tool specially for compression tests. oh, and i guess a spark plug socket also ::)

Is #3 the one that always goes? On my NA motor I've got 50PSI on #3 but it still seems to run OK.

Well I know it's not good. It's got a leaking exhaust valve. Makes for some nice backfires on rundown. Almost like I've got anitlag :)

This is just the junker motor... I've got a spare in my basement that I can build up and use to fab some parts for.

50 psi sounds more like you forgot to open the throttle on that one, otherwise you're just screwed.

:-[my #3 was lower than the others, but only like 10 lower. i just hate when the damn socket falls off and it takes like an hour and a half to get it out :-\

Last time I checked I was 200,200,190,200 Not bad for 170K miles

That was about 5 months ago. What is the deal with cylinder 3 being lower?

#3 is usually the the lowest or the first to go, since its usually the hotest, thats why alot of people drop there EGT right off #3.
