Any one in the Louisville area? Check out my rear mount turbo audi
Ive been reading HMT for a few years now and never really got around to registering, but figured I would now that I have a job that pays well and I can jack around on the internet all day.
Is there any turbo people in the louisville kentucky area that are down for car meets, parties, late night junk food ect?

Nice to see another rear mount setup. Looks pretty good except that it sure hangs down a lot. Looks like you are going to rip off that wastegate any day now if you haven't already. Any issues with the long MAF wires? I was considering moving my MAF so it was a pull through instead of a blow through but didn't. So far mine is working well. Still need to get my alc injection and tuning done. Before that tho, I have some maintenance to get done.
Can't be more than a couple inches clearance under that or is the photo deceiving? Also looks like you are going to melt that compressor silicone/rubber coupler that's going over the exhaust pipe.
By the way, if STS is trying to tell people they can't make a rear mount turbo for personal use they are just trying to scare you. Assuming their patent is legit, you just couldn't market your own rear mount system for sale. Correct me if I'm wrong but no patent can stop someone from building something for personal use.

You need to tuck all that stuff up high like I did. There has to be some other options on where you can put the wastegate and route the plumbing. Plus someone that needs a wastgate will know exactly where to find one...
This is what mine looks like from the rear. You can barely see anything unless you bend down.
