a fast car with chrome rims..............isn't that the equivilent of a fast car with a flat tire?
It's only about a 10-15 pound difference between the same size chrome rim and a "tuner" rim. Which is why I don't understand why everyone makes such a big deal about getting lighter rims but then more than make up the weight with a 200 pound body kit or a wieght block of a spoiler. Unless you have a CRX or GEO Metro where the extra 40-60 pounds can be considered half the car's weight, I would rather have chrome over painted rims anyday. And while your at it, unless your car's interior is stripped and is considered a race car, please don't reply to this. Thank you.

rotational mass...damn straight; I can't stop for ----, but I look good flying by. BTW, I do have "race only" rims and tires, but them ***** cost to much for a daily driver.

That was my point, for a daily driver, why worry about the minimal wheel weight difference and rotational mass? For what? .2 sec acceleration difference in street tires?

Not too much rice in Bellingham, but I do spot F&F wings now and then. My car looks stock.

Well, this creates a serious moral dilemma for me. Is it OK for me to put factory sideskirts on my car if they are painted to match? I am as anti-rice as anyone, I run light 14" rims, no center caps, and only a HMT sticker, but you B'Ham guys will understand why I want sideskirts- I got the FX from Norman. He kinda crunched up the rocker panels in six places jacking up the car. I need to cover that ---- up.

Oh yeah, and I ran 17.3 all stock 4A-FE Motor, the T25 is on within the month. Those were a long-*** 17 seconds.
