Any interest in Euro parts?

Was just wondering.

Walking round my local JY yesterday, I'd pulled a Z6 head for a friends mini-me swap. Also got him an Si cluster and an Si hatch spoiler (trunk lip?).

There must be a tonne of parts you guys would kill for over there that we get over here? If anyone wants anything I'm more than happy to go hunting saying as I'm out of work right now and have nothing better to do :D

Oh, and the prices? $50 for the head with manifold, $30 for a cluster and $20 for a P28, spoiler came in at $25 :D

Only downside is what with the dinks buying up all the scrap, anything remotely boring or uninteresting (that's most Hondas to the yards round here sadly) goes straight into the crusher so things don't hang around long :(

Heh, first come first served, don't forget shipping on top of all that little lot :)

I snatched the only P28 they had for my Rover coupe, they had a perfect Del Sol in with the B16 hacked out of it. Couuldn't get into the thing b/c the damn doors seemed to be jammed shut, and I ain't no :8 so wrigging in through the window was a none starter :(

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

I would be interested in the spoiler for a B16 equipped 92-95 civic hatchback. I think they are VTi's over there?

V8 Dave 10-01-2008 01:40 PM

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

Yeah, they also came on the ESi, which is what I got yesterday. Need to figure out how much it'd cost for shipping...

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

I need two mazda millenia S coils. They're COPs that go on top of the valve covers. I need two w/ the wires the plug into them cut from the engines wiring harness. Let me know if you find any.

V8 Dave 10-01-2008 02:09 PM

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

Holy hell, Millenia = Xedos 9 here. Can't even remember when I last saw one of those on the road let alone in the JY. Mind, it's got the KL-ZE, so would any KL-ZE coilpack and connector work? I know there''sa few of those around.

bitchM0VE 10-01-2008 02:18 PM

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

Millenia S has the KJZEM. Regular millenia had a KLDE. From wiki, KJZEM was put in the millenia S, Eunos 800, and Xedos 9, which you say miillenia S. I see some KLZE's had COP, but I have no idea if they're the same. I kinda doubt they are, but I dunno.

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

Ahhh, that's the miller cycle motor. I don't think we ever got that in this country. I've certainly never seen one :(

Damn. Try this: 82-88 mazda RX-7 differential. The "pumpkin". Some have LSD differentials. I want the LSD to swap into my miata.

I really need a b16 transmission, I am located in Germany so shipping in europe is cheap.

There's a del sol in my local at the mo. The B16 and tranny has gone though. They could have taken it and put it in the shed though (where all the interesting bits get stashed).

Alas, I'm in the UK, so unless you like tunnels or boats, it's a hell of a trip with the spanners :(

I'm going back for prices this week. Rumour has it they just got an MB6 (euro chassis) Civic VTi-S in with a B18C4 and an EG VTi.

Anyone who asked for prices should have them in a couple of days. If anyone wants me to keep an eye out for things in particular, feel free to drop me a PM :D

Actually, I think I got a beating when I first registered, many moons ago, during the age of hotsex and cc-fab. I registered in 2004 but I can't remember my original username :3

Incidentally, stripped and caged is what makes baby jesus hard, but when I'm broke I'd sell my left nut; I have no morals :)

What do you want, as I have a lot of XR/RS parts as I'm a big Fordie nut :)

Can't imagine anyone wants to replicate the RST though. Dreadfull, but entertaining with the boost turned up :)

Man, so familiar, yet so different...

Looks like a cross between a mk3 and a mk4 euro Escort. The euro front end will never work with your sheet metal though, you'd have to change it all; front looks more Mazda 323 than Escort. Didn't you guys have an Escort that tied up with that? Came with the BP motor?

Too late, that little lot was bought for a customers car; I'll be taking a trip back tomorrow with my camera and some tools :6

what's up with the del sol parts? interested in some fogs, possibly rear garnish, head lights, and maybe other stuff if you can take some pics.

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

Right, went back, the Del Slo has been raped. Someone had the whole front end off it and the car was obviously in a flood as the interior was trashed. Managed to grab another P28 and a PR4 though.

Managed to drop the camera in the biggest, oiliest ------- puddle on the whole site so no pics for a few days whilst I try and recover it.

Prices though: -

Front lips $30
Rear spoilers $40
Rear light sets $40
Front fogs (complete sets with surrounds) $40
interior trim pieces all less than $10, except whole dashes, those go for $150

The turnover of Hondas is pretty good, they always have something interesting in (B18C4 from a euro MB6 Civic $450, B20b block $300).

Guy also doesn't know what a Z6 head is so sells them for $50, or the whole engine for $120.

Went in to take pictures and spent an hour fighting to get the alternator off a grown in EG for some guy in his 70s that came down with no tools. Goddamn never had to weed an engine bay before I had to work in it before :3

Scott-EP 10-07-2008 09:44 PM

Re: Any interest in Euro parts?

what would shipping be for a B18 longblock and tranny to Florida? Zip code 32084 if you need it. At prices like that, I just might have to go B series.

Is that B18c4 anything like the c5?
