any boosted EG dx ppl out there!?!?
Hehe,
just wondering if any of you have turboed ur dx motor,
d15b7 ?
I'm gonna do this soon probly,
and just want to know how you guys like your setups,
what kind of setups you have, how much psi ur running, how fast it is(hehe) etc etc

So many people told me not to turbo my car because it is a 1.5 liter sohc and to save my money for a swap. I think they are just to stuck in there ways to think about the potential. I know it is the smallest motor and it is only a sohc, but it is also cheap to rebuild and easy to find a donor motor incase yours blows up. I like my d15 and I think it is alot more reliable than most of the dohc guys. Just my opinion. I don't know what mine is running in the quarter, but it can hang with the best of them. Plenty of get-up-and-go.

I feel the same way, I would MUCH MUCH rather build up a sohc than buy an expensive DOHC.
However, I'm kinda more trying to compare a d15b7 to d16z6 they're both kinda similar in price(sortof), i just wana kno if the 102hp is too damn low to start off with

My setup: T-3 super 60 turbo, Spearco bar and plate intercooler, 2.5 in. charge pipe, 68 mm str throttle body, stock intake manifold, ported, polished, 3 angle valve job, stainless valves, Gude turbo spec cam, Blockgaurd, completely stock bottom end, STR fuel rail, STR cam gear, BBK fuel pump, B&M FPR, DSM 450cc injectors, Apexi s-afc, and as far as engine goes, I think that's it. I'm running about 10 psi. I'd like to get ahold of a new d16 and start to build it from the ground up to run like 20 psi. I am still playing games with it trying to get it tuned in properly. I want to take it to the track so bad, but the closest one is like 300 miles away. Maybe some day.

I want to get to a dyno so bad. I am actualy thinking about taking the drive because I need to put it on a wideband to get it tuned. I know it has more power hiding somewhere in there. Maybe in a couple weeks I will post some numbers if I make it up there(Phoenix). If I were you, I would boost your D series. Why not
