Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread

1 Attachment(s)
Just made it to the 1/8th mile track near where I live. My first time ever drag racing. Had a blast.

The car:
92 Civic CX
Stock d16z6 out of a SI with 180k miles swapped in
Stock P000B transmission out of same SI
Kumo Touring Plus 732s on the front at 17 psi (360 treadwear I think)
Haven't gotten around to hardwiring the Vtec or the 4 wire o2 sensor up so it throws cels

I was car 78
Attachment 17827

Yea, I know I need some boost. Hopefully I will by the end of summer.
Comments, complaints, and tips are welcome.

lol, thanks
and i don't feel bad, i expected to get toasted by most everyone. i still had a ton of fun and will definatley be back there some more over the summer. i even beat 2 cars out of like 8 runs. the first was a jaguar v12 driven by a guy with one leg. pretty sure it was an automatic. i was trying to figure out what rpm was best to launch and bogged commin out of the hole. i ran a 11.0 he ran a 11.1 lol. i thought it was funny since he had 3x the cylinders. The second car i beat was a 10.5 mustang. he was about at half track and his hood comes unpinned or something and flops up over his windshield. he let off with like a 1.5 second advantage at 330' and i got he win ;D.

pretty sure, i remember lookin over at him when i was runnin out 2nd cause he was a half car ahead and he had both hands on the wheel. he got me out of the launch cause i bogged and he had rwd i supose.

what does everyone else launch their rides at? i found i did the best at about 5k and just dump the cluch, no feathering. i really need to get chipped and use a full throttle launch program.
