Re: Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread
My old Monte Carlo SS clone with a tired 355/and a stock rear, ran in the low 11's. :8 you would have dusted me for sure :6 .................
Then I rebuilt the fucker and ran a 9.6@76 |
Re: Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread
lol, thanks
and i don't feel bad, i expected to get toasted by most everyone. i still had a ton of fun and will definatley be back there some more over the summer. i even beat 2 cars out of like 8 runs. the first was a jaguar v12 driven by a guy with one leg. pretty sure it was an automatic. i was trying to figure out what rpm was best to launch and bogged commin out of the hole. i ran a 11.0 he ran a 11.1 lol. i thought it was funny since he had 3x the cylinders. The second car i beat was a 10.5 mustang. he was about at half track and his hood comes unpinned or something and flops up over his windshield. he let off with like a 1.5 second advantage at 330' and i got he win ;D. |

:3 how sure? |
Re: Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread
pretty sure, i remember lookin over at him when i was runnin out 2nd cause he was a half car ahead and he had both hands on the wheel. he got me out of the launch cause i bogged and he had rwd i supose.
what does everyone else launch their rides at? i found i did the best at about 5k and just dump the cluch, no feathering. i really need to get chipped and use a full throttle launch program. |
Re: Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread

Well, I've got some more slow times for everyone to enjoy. Exact same setup as last friday, but it was about 20* colder here tonight.

Re: Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread
not bad times forf a stock z6 i see ricers with b16 hatches at the local 1/8 that can barelly make that time cause that cant drive for ---- , besides its not all about how fast you car is its about having fun and its always good to learn your car with no power then a lot of power

Re: Another Just Got Back from the Track Thread
idk what the deal is at my track but a perfect light is .500 the only other drag racing i see is on tv and they use a .000 perfect light instead. i guess it might be the fact that they do a pro light where all 3 yellow bulbs light at once instead of a countdown like at this strip.
and it will be boosted by the end of the summer, i just need to knock out a few other projects first. i kind of want this thread to show my progress through the summer |
