He was a hard core racing enthusiast and was running up until the end...gotta respect him for that.

He did a LOT for unfortunate children as well, Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang charity which because he was a Phi Kappa Tau fraternity member, had a lot of chapters across the country raising money for his causes and doing good.
