im, in the midwest .... there is no milky oil which make me think its not a hg .... there no oil or coolant leaked down the motor and there was no oil on the old plugs... i just dont know what could affect compression that much but had no signs ... like if the ignition resistor is fuct up and not turning it over hard enough would that effect compression ...

???

is the compression tester working right?

does anyone know where the ignition resistor (moduale) thing is at on the block

How slowly is it cranking? If it just cranks somewhat slower than normal, there's definately something wrong. If it barely cranks over, you may end up with numbers like that. You said that the timing belt is two weeks old, so it's possible it wasn't tensioned right or something and allowed it to jump a few teeth. Make sure the cam timing is correct and go from there.

well it ran for two weeks and we tensioned it properly with a new tensioner ... its wierd and hard to explain but normally when you crank a car over it goes baw-wam-wam-wam this just goes bawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwm if that makes since to anyone its hard to explain ...the cam gears just looks like there spinning very slow . possibly cam positioning sensor ?

Another one bites the dust.Doesnt matter if you put a new one on what matters if it was setup properly.8 out of 10 peeps i bet dont have the proper tools to do it correctly.
first thing i would do is tdc it You need to rule out the the belt issue.
second check for comp....hmm 0 0 0 3 car overheated wet an dry comp test
depending on that results we do a cyl leak down to see where the leakage is going.
if the rings are washed down you wont have an compression.

Go to the basics first
Do u have spark?
Do you have fuel?
Do you have compression?

you need these three components to make an engine run

There is a charge for Healing cars over the PC so fork it over,,,,,,, :D

haha fork it over???? you said what everyone else did ... the car has spark and fuel .. but if the valves are staying open it cant build compression .. so that were im stuck

Re: ANOTHER DSM THAT WONT START

:o i dont see how your stuck...... :1 no compression? timing belt jumped? rings collapsed? pistons galled seized rings?

Thats where your at. did you double check your timing makrs for the t-belt?

Re: ANOTHER DSM THAT WONT START

yea i know to check the timing just havent gone and done it becouse some people say its a waste of time becouse jumping teeth will not put you and 0 compression .. i dunno im ganna try it anyways and see if were off

yep, check your timing marks leakdown if you can. you shouldent have 0 psi acrost the board if somthing isint fucked up with timing. it just sounds like the motor is free spining right? like when you take the plugs out of a motor and turn it over.
