All the Electronic Smart People
Ok I want to run leds behind my guage cluster but I know that the lights behind there are going to be to much to run leds Here is the specs for the leds.
3.7 volts 20mA 2600mcd not sure what that is What I want to know is how do I get the voltage down to that level and amperage? |
Re: All the Electronic Smart People
hook three up in series rice boy :P

Re: All the Electronic Smart People
Yeah then I have halleys comet behind my cluster. thats too bright.

Re: All the Electronic Smart People
radioshack is your freind.
|
Re: All the Electronic Smart People
Yeah radioshack would be if retards didn't work at mine. Can I borrow yours?

Re: All the Electronic Smart People
Resistors! Weee!
I had the same idea recently, stock DX cluster is dim as ----, havn't pulled it apart yet though. I'm way too lazy at the moment to figure out what current the stock cluster lights work on, but I'm fairly certain that getting LED's to work is only a few inline resistors away, you won't be able to adjust brightness tho. |
Re: All the Electronic Smart People
12v LEDs from radio shack, how hard is that?
|
Re: All the Electronic Smart People
^^^ that was my next answer

Re: All the Electronic Smart People
didn't know they made them in 12 volt. expensive? Well what I was thinking since I posted this was that make a sub harness that has on wire coming from a power source (light switch) and run them in parralle so that the voltage stays the same. That way I don't have to hack up the gauge cluster. I just have to find out what voltage is coming off of there.

Re: All the Electronic Smart People
how hard is it to use a resistor... seirously.
