I'll got to alabama, florida, south car, or north car, or tenness. I live in GA so i'll go there too, but SC, NC, or FL would be nice if we was close to the beach. I'd like to have my turbo running and get the "just put together" bugs worked out. Mid to late march would be really good for me, but what is everyone else's schedule look like? I think a month away would be good so everyone could have it planned way ahead of time and we have a good turnout to show the NE crew how WE do it in that durty south.

WTF Is up with the road tracks hating on FWD? Asshats. Barber would be ------- ownage, but they're too self absorbed of being a rich-ass-only Porche track. If anybody raced there it wouldn't be who came out the fastest to win it, it would be who came out totalling the least amount of damage to their track thus owing less $$ in the form of a second or third morgage.

Anywho Steele is quite a badass race track, and the only one close. My friend said Summiton(sp) is as good racetrack, but I dont know where that is. Anywho my turbo Honda wont be due for another 3 months or so when Summer starts. Ill be outta country Spring Break so no luck on doing this then. I'm up to help, chill, what not. Also I can bring a few weapons to help fend off Hotrex's roid induced raging eating syndrome hes got going on toward our nice AL food.

Montgomery Motorsports Park FTW - I might possibly have a hookup at a Dyno not 5 minutes from the dragstrip if you want me to get a rate for a Dyno Day. Deathwagon at the controls.

if you could, inquire about that please

the more and more i think about it, it would probably be, montgomery or b'ham. i know montgomery is 2.5 hours from me, but i dont care, ill just roll out.

as far as barber, I might actually have a hook up for a later event, my cousin, she is a race promoter for barber, i got to drive some GTII cars there, it was hot.

keep it coming and let people who are close you guys know this is in the works, in case they didnt see this

The site says $600/day but I'll see if we can get that lowered at all. There's some good vids in the video section too.
For those of you who like ------- with ricers, the infamous Atlanta Highway is about 5 miles from the dragstrip, 2 miles from the dyno.

Re: Alabama/Georgia/N. Florida meet suggestions on time&place

well if we rent it out for a day of testing and had 6 peeps, that's 100 a piece and we each get an hour and 20 mins of tuning or so. That's assuming they are open 8 hrs. I found 2 suitable places in GA, but most of the tracks seem to be 1/8 mile. Haven't found a dyno near these places, but I found 2 tracks w/ friday and saturday night test and tunes.

AtlantaDragway.com is having a saturday noon to eight test n' tune on March 18th. I saw on their website that they range from 20 to 25 for car and driver, run all you want. Looks like a really nice track so that would be fun.

Also, http://www.silverdollarraceway.com/index.htm has a friday and saturday night test n tune that I think run all year long. So we could do it any weekend that works and do friday and saturday racing. It would be nice if we could find a dyno nearby or something thou. It is also 20 to 25 bucks for car and driver there.

That's all I got.

Montgomery is only $10 for test-n-tune. I keep giving montgomery cool points because i'm too lazy to drive far :6

Re: Alabama/Georgia/N. Florida meet suggestions on time&place

find some dynos and tracks in florida that we could go to. I will definitely consider it, florida is a nice little get away. Whereever slos13 is talkin about sounds fine to me though. I just wanna race and get on a dyno. And rippin on ricers all day sounds like fun, there's very few around here to just shut down so that'll be fun.

Re: Alabama/Georgia/N. Florida meet suggestions on time&place

in florida we have 1/4 mile tracks in moroso West Palm beach, bradenton, Orlando and Gainsville, there's an 1/8th mile track in Lakeland.

Ricers are everywhere and dynos are plenty also

Re: Alabama/Georgia/N. Florida meet suggestions on time&place

i need to check on track availability in birmingham,

but i do know that montgomery has one

but i need to find out as far as a dyno and such

i would more than likely travel the night before and get a hotel, ---- if im tired i will end up stayin another night.

but yes, i would like to race as well, and rip on some locals, my hatch is retarded on the street

Re: Alabama/Georgia/N. Florida meet suggestions on time&place

THE BIG TRIP is June 10th in st. paul minnesota. They're suppose to be doin dyno stuff and track day. They're having a 1/4 mi comp between the sohc and dohc d16 civics, 88-00 only. no drag rads and only turbo, nitrous, or supercharger but no combination. it sounds like it should be pretty competitive w/ a 1000 first and 350 second w/ a 50 buck entry and 16 cars in the field. The rules are all right here http://www.streetsohc.com/index.php?...tpage&Itemid=1 Anybody feel like ridin there?

I know all the guys that work at the Dyno. Linuxman51 and Deathwagon work/tune there. The video I posted a while back of a 620+whp civic works there also.

Unfortunatly I'm not equipped for slumber parties. I might be able to squeeze a few of you bastards in my living room (I live about 45min away from Montgomery) but I'd be glad to help out in any way I can if we have the meet in montgomery (A.K.K "the gump").

Forgot to mention, in the same area, there's a Harbor Freight :)

I'm still trying to find out if we could possibly get a discounted rate on the dyno.
Also, heres the webstie for the track http://www.mmpdragracing.com/
