Re: Advice

Ok well, took the teg out last night and was playing with some bikes and all of a sudden I take off at an extremely high rate of speed... followed closely by a cloud of white smoke from the tailpipe. Pull over, pop the hood, and the vacuum line on my boost controller came unhooked. WEeeeee. So, luckily the only damage I did was a blown headgasket. So, to get to the headgasket I have to remove everything I was going to remove and replace anyways for the new setup. As luck would have it, my friends shop that I had the teg towed to had a friend over there that has a CRX for sale. Good body, and completely race ready. 13 x 8 Bogarts and Skinnys, too :D The head is a ported GSR head w/ skunk2 valvetrain, type-r cams, and skunk2 intake mani. block is a b16. So, i figure I can sell the block, the tranny, the header (it was an N/A car) and some other stuff I dont need, get some of my money back. Then, all I left left to do is buy new struts for the front and 10k springs for the rear, and its done. Then, the head goes on my built LS block with the HX-35, 880cc inj, I just picked up and I'm hoping for 11s :D I just hope the Turbo manifold I bought from "synik" here on the board actually gets here and I didn't get ripped off. Well, I havent torn the engine down yet. But I'm assuming from the lack of compression (car still runs), white smoke that smells like antifreeze, and no noticeble knocking... I'd say its fair to assume its just a headgasket. It was just a OE honda gasket.
